11:00am – Forager Talk then join the walk
11:15am – Artisan Talks
12:15pm – Forager Talk then join the walk
12:30pm – Men v Food (Meat)…the big one!
1:00pm – GB Cheese Off Taste & Vote!

1:30pm – Cake Off – Taste & judge cakes
2:30pm – Men v Food (Heat)… hot, hot, hotter!
3:00pm – Drinks Enthusiast Free Tasting
4:00pm – Men v Food (Treat) Pairs vs Choc

spiralizerSo the excitement is hotting up, our categories have been decided, our bakers are practising, their lucky friends and family are tasting – the cake-off season will soon be upon us!!

Our fantastic prizes are all being lined up & finalised ready for our lucky (and most talented) bakers to receive & our professional judges are all being booked in.

We have some great chefs and bakers joining us from the likes of Luis Troyano, Jane Beedle, Howard Middleton (Great British Bake-off) Sandy Docherty along with more great chefs will be joining us this year, they will be judging & doing a chef demos too.

The Rules

The GBFF Cake-Off has been a huge hit with bakers and the public throughout our previous events. We want you to be a part of it too!! Not only will we give you FREE entry to the event, we have lined up some Kenwood spiralizers (Thanks Kenwood!) for the 1st prize winners!

50% of the score is obtained from our judging panel who will rate the entries on their presentation and taste. The other 50% of the votes will be scored by the general public. At each Festival we pick members of the crowd to come and sample what is on offer, then they will hand in their scores. Once all scores have been tallied, our independent adjudicator will announce the winner!

And the best is yet to come! Once the judging is over all cake entries are open for anyone to sample, so make sure you are down at the Festival and grab a seat to taste test some of our fantastic cakes in 2017!

So, now you know the rules, get the apron on, the flour in the bowl and start baking!
