Where to begin?? 10 crazy years of running around fields, emptying bins, pushing vans out of mud, loading up goodie bags, chopping cakes on the Cake-Off, laughing at jokes on Men v Food. The life of an event organiser is many things, but never ever dull!
It is has been one of the privileges of my working life, to be lucky enough to do a job that I love, surrounded by so many friends and family & with my 3 children usually running about and laughing in the background.
My highlights - too many to list, but during opening hours – Men v Food – I have heard some of those jokes soo many times, but they still make me giggle, taking in the stunning view when you get a spare second to look up and realise just how beautiful the venue is! And without doubt the lovely people who we have met along the way! After hours ... kids karaoke (followed by adult karaoke) on the men v food stage, a family 21st and “a leaving for the Army do”, at the lovely Arley Hall! And a ridiculous Benny Hill style chase that ensued when a slightly tipsy visitor tried to make off with one of our lovely blankets, many moons ago!
