Harry Maguire

Harry Maguire is the MasterChef 2025 Champion, recognised for refined yet approachable cooking that blends classical French technique with bold British flavours. After leaving a successful branding career, he retrained as a fishmonger in South London, discovering a culinary identity centred on outstanding seafood, seasonality and provenance. Harry grew up and was educated in Edinburgh and began his foodie journey under the guiding hand of his mum and elder brother. This included a wide range of cooking styles and influences which, many years later, he introduced into his Masterchef performance. The journey through to MasterChef Champion has not been an easy one. He found the demands of a high intensity corporate career too much, and by his own admission he lost control of his life and drifted into a battle with addiction. After a period of recovery, he realised that a change was needed and decided to pursue his love for cooking. At this point he was not ready for work in a professional kitchen. So, ever the entrepreneur, he printed off a bundle of CV’s and proceeded to hawk his way, door to door, around the fishmongers and butchers of London. On day one, he landed a job with a fishmonger in Clapham where, as well as serving customers, he was able to develop his love for fish cookery. Since winning MasterChef, Harry has built HarryMaguireCooking, delivering luxury private dining, bespoke events, supper clubs and collaborations with leading hospitality brands. His work includes exclusive dining experiences across the UK, most notably in collaboration with at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester.
