Bio

Carole trained in Bangkok with Professor Gobkaew Najpinij who was a renowned food historian, lecturer and chef.

Gobgaew was a regular on TV and radio. She was an advisor and recipe provider to many famous chefs including David Thompson before she sadly passed away.

Over the years of working together Carole gathered many of Gobgaew’s recipes and photos of the food they cooked together.

Carole is interested in traditional cooking with no short cuts and is keen to share what she has learnt. She has written a cookbook in tribute to Gobgaew called “Mae’s Ancient Thai Food”.

She occasionally cooks for supper clubs in her own home and sells her Thai spices and equipment on Etsy.
