Meet Lumberjaxe

‘As seen on the 2025 season of Dragons Den!

At Lumberjaxe, our journey began around the flames of our grandad’s brick-built bbq. Growing up, we spent countless days surrounded by family and friends, where the heat of the grill and the smell of smoke always meant good food and good times. Those early memories ignited our love for real bbq flavours inspired by american traditions.

Fast forward to the pandemic, when two brothers, with little more than the fire in our bellies, set out to turn that love for bbq into something we could share. Starting from humble beginnings, we rolled up our sleeves and embraced the grit and grind, learning every step of the way and pouring everything we had into each batch of our all natural bbq seasonings and sauces. Our hard work, paired with bold flavours and top quality products, has carved out a place for us in the bbq industry. Today we’re on a mission to bring influence from outdoor cooking to the dining room table and get more families cookin’ up good times.

Daddy Bear Grills Brand Story

Now the driving force behind Daddy Bear Grills, Wayne has carved out a name for himself in the world of open fire cooking. His passion and skill took him to the finals of the British Live Fire Cooking Championships, where he showcased his expertise on stage at the legendary Ludlow Castle. But that was just the beginning.

Today, Wayne is taking live fire cooking to the next level. He has opened Liz’s Yard, his very own woodland retreat, where he hosts immersive live fire cooking experiences, teaching guests how to harness the flames like a true fire chef. From corporate team building days to event catering and festival demos, Wayne brings people together around the fire, proving that the best meals are the ones cooked over embers, shared with great company, and infused with passion.

Collaboration with Kadai

Rooted in tradition and reimagined for modern outdoor cooking, Kadai fire bowls bring the art of live fire cooking to centre stage. Originally used across India for creating fragrant curries, Kadais have evolved into a versatile barbecue and firepit combination, perfect for everything from grilling and roasting to slow cooking over the flames.

At the Great British Food Festival, the Recycled Kadai will be at the heart of the action on the Fire Stage, transforming cooking demonstrations into immersive experiences. With the fire fully visible, chefs can showcase the theatrics of live fire cooking, demonstrating heat zones, essential techniques, and the depth of flavour only real flames can provide.

With over 40 cookware accessories, the Kadai is one of the most adaptable barbecues available, offering chefs the freedom to explore a variety of dishes beyond traditional grilling. The crackle of the fire, the aroma of wood smoke, and the communal nature of cooking over open flames make the Kadai the perfect centrepiece for any outdoor gathering.

For nearly two decades, they’ve been championing sustainable craftsmanship, working with skilled artisans across India to create products made from recycled and responsibly sourced materials. Whether you're a barbecue novice or a seasoned fire cook, Kadai is designed to inspire, bringing people together to cook, share, and celebrate the simple pleasure of food over fire.

Visit us at the Great British Food Festival and experience the magic of Kadai cooking firsthand.
