Bio

Having trained in renowned Restaurants in Edinburgh Stuart returned home to The Borders in 2016 to take up the position of Head Chef at award winning Windlestraw in Walkerburn, the Borders only 5 star Restaurant with Rooms.

Stuart quickly brought his experience to the kitchen establishing a reputation for exceptional cuisine using locally sourced produce.

Stuart is creative and his daily changing menus maximum use of the restaurant’s own kitchen garden and showcase seasonal produce through classical dishes presented with a modern and uniquely personal touch.

Stuart’s dedication resulted in two AA Rosettes on his first inspection and his focus is now firmly on gaining the 3rd.
