I was a contestant on last year's Masterchef, reaching the quarter finals. I was born in Tanga Tanzania before moving to Hove in 2004.
My style of cooking is East African fusion with a twist of Swahili, Arab and Indian with a Morden twist which reflects my mixed heritage. I have travelled and lived in some beautiful places including Mombasa Kenya, and Seychelles which has influenced my cooking style. I have also been very fortunate to work with some incredible chefs including Hove's very own Steven Edwards at his restaurant Etch alongside his head chef George Baorer and guest chef Tom Hamblet. I did Brighton & Guildford foodies festival 2025 as a guest chef doing the theatre demos.
I like to cook according to the season and shop locally wherever I can whilst staying true to my preferred cuisine. I try to be very resourceful and waste as little of any product as possible!
Since appearing on Masterchef I have worked as a private chef catering for various events, including pop ups and private clients.
