Chillington Hall Food Festival
11th + 12th May
Chillington Hall, Venue Highlights
The current Chillington Hall was built almost 300 years ago, in 1724, on the site of the original 12th Century stone built castle, parts of which remain in the cellars of the present house.
In the 1760’s Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown created much of the park, the arboretum to the rear of the Hall and the stunning sixty acre pool which has an ornate bridge created by James Paine to disguise the dam that was built to create it.
The Great British Food Festival at Chillington Hall is on the lawn with views of the beautiful building. Your ticket to the food festival includes free access to the beautiful gardens and you can also enjoy a 20 minute wooded walk, with some very romantic views, along Capability Brown’s canal ending at Paine’s Bridge, presenting a stunning view of the Pool. Additionally you can take advantage of the opportunity to see inside the beautiful building for just £3 per person!
“Great atmosphere, great location and more importantly, great food!!” Raveen
