Rob is the Chef and Landlord at The Longs Arms Pub and Smokehouse. A beautiful 17 century pub in the small village of South Wraxall located near Bradford on Avon and 6 miles from Bath.
Rob has been awarded a converted Michelin Bib Gourmand at The Longs Arms and has retained it for the last 4 years. He and his team are also the current winners of the Bath Life ‘Pub of the Year’ Award, and have been finalists in many other national competitions.
Rob’s menu showcases the very best produce the seasons have to offer. He treats all ingredients with care and respect, and doesn’t overcomplicate the dishes he creates. He makes pretty much everything in house as well (yes, really!) from bread to enjoy at the start of the meal to fabulous chocolates and petit fours to have with coffee at the end – and lots in between!
They use Aubrey Allen who are an ethical, welfare friendly, traceable and fair trade meat supplier with a Royal Warrant for all meat, and have fabulous fish delivered daily directly from fishermen using low impact sustainable methods from Newlyn in Cornwall.
There is also a Smokehouse at the pub where Rob lovingly cures and smokes lots of fabulous produce for the menu. Their cold smoked salmon is one of the most popular dishes. You must visit The Longs Arms, but please book in advance as they do get very busy.
